Where to Look: Greater Victoria's Municipalities and Neighbourhoods
Greater Victoria is not one market but thirteen, plus the rural areas and islands around them. The core municipalities of Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay and Esquimalt hold most of the region's older housing and its densest condo market. The West Shore (Langford, Colwood, View Royal, Highlands and Metchosin) and Sooke have most of the new construction, the larger lots and the acreages. The Saanich Peninsula (Central Saanich, North Saanich and Sidney) mixes farmland, waterfront and small-town centres.
