Courtenay has the largest strata market in the valley, from older apartments near downtown and Back Road to newer east-side townhomes, so its listings weigh heavily in these figures. Comox adds town-centre condos and townhomes, and Campbell River adds waterfront condos and central townhouse complexes.
Mount Washington ski condos and age-restricted buildings in Comox, Courtenay and Campbell River can both carry a pet flag. They sell to different buyers at different prices per square foot, which widens the range.
Courtenay has no off-leash park and limits dogs to three per property, while Comox and Cumberland each have one fenced dog park and Campbell River has four off-leash areas. These rules do not show in the numbers but matter to dog owners comparing towns.
