Victoria is serviced by three distrinct school districts each covering a different geographic area. 

The Victoria School District (SD61) was established in 1865, which is today the largest school district in Victoria.  I laid the foundation for formal education in the burgeoning city. Over the years, SD61 expanded its reach, encompassing neighboring areas such as Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, and parts of Saanich and the Highlands. To the west, in the coastal municipality of Esquimalt, the Esquimalt School District emerged in 1891, driven by a shared vision of community and learning. Meanwhile, across the sprawling expanse of Greater Victoria, including the western communities of Sooke, Langford, Colwood, and Metchosin, the Sooke School District (SD62) came into being. Established to serve these burgeoning areas, SD62 played a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of the region. In the sprawling municipality of Saanich, the Saanich School District (SD63) was established in the aftermath of World War II. Over the decades, SD61, SD62, and SD63 evolved to meet the changing needs of their communities. Within the boundaries of this school district, a network of elementary, middle, and secondary schools stands as pillars of learning, , including Oak Bay High, located in Oak Bay and featuring a high academic and athletic standards.  It's a convervative school located in a conservative area. Esquimalt High School is located in Esquimalt, which has typically been known as the wrong side of the tracks has a lower educational standard and caters to a lower socio-economic profile of that is more predominant in Esquimalt. Victoria High School is one of the oldest schools located within the core areas of Victoria. Lambrick Park School, Spectrum Community School, Mount Douglas High School, Lansdowne Senior Secondary, Spectrum Community School, and Reynolds High School. Each contributes to the academic and personal development of its students. The district's commitment to providing a comprehensive education is evident in the array of programs and services offered, ranging from special education initiatives to language programs and a myriad of extracurricular activities.
