Launch material described Lakepoint, the mixed-use core of Westhills, as having a grocery store and services, and the developer also points to Quality Foods and Westshore Town Centre. Westhills has its own schools, including Centre Mountain Lellum Middle School and Belmont Secondary, which moved here in 2015. Buying a Condo at Solaris

Because the developer is still selling, you may be choosing between a never-occupied home bought from Westhills Land Corp. and a resale from a first owner. GST may apply to a home bought new from the developer, whose prices are quoted plus GST. First-time buyers should check current federal and BC rebates with an advisor before writing an offer.

New homes in BC carry the 2-5-10 home warranty: two years on materials and labour, five on the building envelope and ten on structure. A resale passes on whatever coverage is left. Ask for the disclosure statement on a developer sale, and on any purchase read the Form B, bylaws, budget and recent minutes, and ask whether a depreciation report has been done yet.
